The unending saga of the Chiltern Local Plan

February 29, 2020 4:04 PM

Local planThe Chiltern & South Bucks Local Plan was really supposed to have been agreed and in place by now. Instead, it looks as if the new plan will not be completed until after Chiltern District Council (CDC) ceases to exist. The Inspectors wrote to CDC in November with 42 (forty-two!) questions, many about the Green Belt proposals. The Councils have responded. The Inspectors will now consider the Councils' response before deciding on the next steps for the Examination process.

Planning policy will become the responsibility of the new unitary Buckinghamshire Council. We will endeavour to make sure that the new council is more efficient in getting a plan in place.
