Chiltern Ridges Liberal Democrat candidates selected

The Liberal Democrats have selected their candidates for the new unitary council in Chiltern Ridges:

Alan BaconAlan Bacon lives in Bellingdon and is well known as a hard-working councillor on both Chiltern District Council and Chesham Town Council and has taken a keen interest in planning issues. He is passionate about preserving and enhancing local facilities like the Moor Gym and Swim and the Elgiva in Chesham. He believes that councils have a leading role to play in working to deal with the climate emergency.

Mohammad FayyazMohammad Fayyaz is a community activist and long-standing Chesham Town Councillor for Asheridge Vale and has twice been Mayor of Chesham. He has dedicated himself to getting things done to improve our area and community and is often seen clearing weeds, picking up litter, planting new flowers and reporting anything that needs to be fixed to the relevant authority. He is the chairman of both Asheridge Vale and Lowndes Community Association, and Chesham in Bloom. Mohammad is standing for the Town Council in Asheridge Vale ward and also for Buckinghamshire Council.

Paul HardingPaul Harding currently works in the non-profit sector focusing particularly on environmental issues. He settled in Chesham with his family (wife, dog and two cats) after spending 13 years in China working in the finance, non-profit, and tech sectors. Paul is bursting with ideas for local green projects, and is passionate about the role that local community and local politics can play in enriching people's lives.
