Chesham: Improvement at The Old Alcan Site in Asheridge Road

Thank you to Paradigm Housing for replacing the hoardings on the large development site in Asheridge Road, which they now own. We reported in the September Focus that Liberal Democrat councillors Alan Bacon and Mohammad Fayyaz had asked Paradigm to improve the appearance of the site because the blocked- up entrances were an eyesore. It does now look better with new hoardings. We are all waiting to see exactly what Paradigm plan to do with the site. They have said that they will be submitting a new planning application.

Litter is still a huge problem all along Asheridge Road. Alan and Mo cleared it up a few months ago, but it needs doing again. We have asked Chiltern District Council to install some more litter bins, and have also asked the council's dog warden to patrol the area to stop dog fouling.
