Annual Green Fair Comes to Chesham - Saturday 10th November

5.45.00pm GMT Mon 5th Nov 2007

The annual Chiltern Green Fair hosted by Chiltern Liberal Democrats will be held in Chesham Town Hall from 10am-4pm on Saturday 10th November. The Fair will be opened officially by Chesham Town Mayor Merrin Molesworth. Admission is free.

This year's Chesham event follows the success of well attended Chiltern Green Fairs held in Great Missenden and Wendover.

As well as as a range of local and national environmental groups, such as the RSPB, the Chiltern Society and the Ramblers Association, exhibitors include four Government accredited renewable energy installers. Aylesbury based Ardenham Energy Ltd will be joined by Thames Valley Energy, JHS Power Solutions based in Banbury and Solar Century.

All four companies will be offering advice on renewable energy systems for the home and business. Government grants of up to £2500 per household are currently available under the Low Carbon Buildings Programme, reducing the capital costs of solar electric, small wind and other domestic renewable technologies by up to one third.

Green Fair organiser Councillor Peter Jones said "we are delighted that this year's event is being held in Chesham. At a time when many local people are wondering how to "do their bit" in the fight against climate change, it's great to have four Government accredited renewable energy companies under one roof. So if you've ever wondered what type of renewable energy system makes sense for your own home, community organisation or business, now's your chance to find out."

The Green Fair is not a party political event. It is hosted annually by Chiltern Liberal Democrats because we are part of the local community and we care passionately about our environment.

For further information/contacts for the renewable energy companies please contact Peter Jones on 07850 972507 or Seb Berry on 07949 208187.
