Little Chalfont Library - Official Re-opening

11.49.35pm GMT Tue 13th Feb 2007

We are very pleased to see that Little Chalfont Library will be officially re-opening on Saturday 17th February, although it is a pity that this event coincides with announcements from County Hall of further cuts to many remaining library services including Amersham.

Staffed by local volunteers, the library will provide a much needed local facility to residents of the Little Chalfont area.

It is ironic that in the same week as this library re-opens, Bucks CC announces further cuts to remaining library services in the Chilterns area, including Amersham. One of the original rationales for Bucks CC closing the library at Little Chalfont was that this action would release funds to support the remaining local libraries! Once again Tory controlled Bucks CC says one thing and does something else!!!
