Dear Editor - Thanks to all our supporters

AS PUBLISHED IN THE BUCKS EXAMINER ON 2nd NOVEMBER

Dear Editor, many thanks to everyone who supported our candidate Michelle Gausman in last Thursday's Great Missenden by-election. With just six months to go to the next Chiltern District Council elections, we will continue to campaign locally on important issues such as breathing new life into our village centres, protecting the AONB, and further measures on road and pedestrian safety.

It is frankly unbelievable for example that in a village of three schools criss-crossed by an A road and commuter rat-runs, there is not a single permanent safe crossing point for children other than the Link Road zebra crossing. I'd also like to see the use of school crossing patrols extended beyond the Gateway school to include services for children attending the Misbourne and CoE combined schools, many of whom live in the village. The same arguments apply equally in Prestwood

Finally, I'd like to thank the winning Conservative candidate for fighting a positive campaign and for his various commitments to improving the local quality of life. May 2007 will be a good first test of progress made.

Yours sincerely

Seb Berry

Vice Chairman Prestwood and Great Missenden Liberal Democrats
